“If you like Wild Card and you often find yourself working in a walk around situation, then this routine is for you. The routine is extremely visual, has no apparent discrepancies, and no awkward moves. I really like this handling and have added the routine to my repertoire.” – Allan Ackerman
What will he teach?
The Contest: Poker Players Picnic REDUX by Ed Oschmann/Tom Dobrowolski
Hana Ho Card by Curtis Kam – With a pedigree that includes Michael Weber and Curtis Kam, Tom has honed this trick into a masterpiece. "Hana Ho" means "Do it Again!" in Hawaiian. And Hawaii magician Curtis Kam uses this simplified moving hole effect to answer that call. It's a quick encore to any effect using a signed card that transforms that card into something just a little more special for the lucky person who gets to keep it.
Naked Deck Opener/Wait? What?? by Trent Ketchmark/Tom Dobrowolski – The perfect opener to a card or close up set. A blank deck becomes instantly printed with faces and backs. Very fun, simple, visual magic and a variation where a card is selected, the deck turns blank, faces and backs reappear, and the card is found! At the end you can hand out the deck!
Neither Short-Sighted nor Mad by John Carey – John's great take on Tamariz’ classic “Neither Blind nor Silly”. This one, like so much of John’s brilliant material, is SO much fun to perform!
Away We Go by Tom Dobrowolski – A no-fuss and direct handling for a selected “cards across.”
Jim Ryan's Last Trick by Tom Dobrowolski/Jim Ryan – From Tom's first lecture, this is an absolutely GREAT opener based on two of Jim Ryan's classics, The Portal.
Increasing the Odds by Patrick Flanagan – One simple, strong, entertaining demonstration in “cheating at cards” that you can use to lead into another routine or as a stand alone effect.
Misdirection:The Way of The Monkey by David Kuraya – David sent me a clip of this strange and wonderful effect and I HAD to have it for the notes!
Something Borrowed, Something New by Jack Carpenter – You’ll be doing some amazing visual magic with very little effort and a freely selected card. You’ll love this!
Whitewall by Jeff Prace – A wonderfully simple concept, limited only by your imagination, that turns your iPhone/Smartphone into an even more magical device. Heck, it’s so simple even I can do it!
What You “Wynnn” in Vegas, Stays in Vegas by Tom Dobrowolski – Dubbed semi-automatic coin magic by Curtis Kam (Mr. “Palms of Steel”). With just 3 coins you hit the Jackpot and then just as quickly hit the road, busted out. You’ll learn a few easy moves and displays that will make you look like you have Curtis Kam “Palms of Steel”.
BBQ Ribs Three Coins Across by Jeremiah Zuo – More semi-automatic coin magic. It is a simple handling of the 3 Fly/Visible Coins across which maximizes each magical moment by reducing the number of coins in the hands during each phase.
