Over the last 6 months, we’ve received more than 200 trick submissions. Out of those… We produced one.
This one.
Why? We have a high threshold at Ellusionist.
But ultimately it comes down to this… “would we actually perform it?”
If the answer is no, we don’t sell it.
That, unfortunately, leaves things quite limited for us as a company.
We have to dine out on things you saw us release 2 years ago. Because ‘the good’ tricks are few and far between.
It’s not just our opinion, it’s the opinion shared by a lot of the magic community too – especially lately.
So imagine how relieved we were when we found Mads Lundbek on Instagram.
This guy is so creative that we immediately filmed 4 tricks with him in Copenhagen. This instant download contains 3 of them.
Things you can make at home and perform right now. You may have everything you need already.
YOU’LL LEARN:
– A super-visual ring on spoon that breaks the walls of reality.
– A pen vanish routine that proves time travel.
– & a beautiful linking rings routine. (Which when he shows his hands empty – fooled the crap out of us).
We called this download ‘Outside the Box’ because after a good 6 months of being uninspired by magic, it’s the ‘out of the box’ thinking of Mads that got us inspired again.
And if it did that for us, it can do the same for you, too.
Enjoy a mix of visuals, eye candy and practical ‘worker’ magic.

FAQS
1. Will I need extra gimmicks?
As this is a download, you’ll need to source your own ring, spoon, split rings (keyring loops), Sharpie, etc.
2. Is anything hard to make?
Most magicians will have everything they need – and it’s not crazy arts & crafts. However, for trick 1, if you choose the super gimmicked version, there will be some prep of the ring. But Mads provides another method. So it’s up to you how much prep you put in.
3. I recognise that Pen trick – how is it new?
The pen vanish isn’t “new” in terms of method. It’s a classic often performed with a cigarette. As a classic of magic, we wanted Mads to include it, as many people don’t smoke these days – and Mads has a particularly nice handling of this vanish.
He also has a beautiful presentation with it ‘teleporting’ to his back pocket, turning a simple vanish into a full-circle routine.
4. Are those linking rings gimmicked?
No. And the way Mads shows his hands completely clean/empty is what fooled the F out of us in the first place.
A pocket, modern version of linking rings is genius. I can’t believe we haven’t seen this before. Plus, this method is a worker.
