Conjuring Arts presents…
The Volume that started it all. The first volume of M-U-M was released in 1911 and so began a great run in magic publishing. This initial volume of M-U-M contained everything you would expect: show reviews, new member and applicant lists, monthly meeting minutes, and an invitation to the the magicians of the world to make their voices heard through contributions to M-U-M. Although it was just beginning, there was still plenty more to include in the volume, including a paper title "Conjuring by Electricity" by G. G. Laurens.
Conjuring Arts presents…
Of interest in this volume are the recollections of Will Goldston. Also take the time to read the short biographies of past S.A.M. presidents and get to know the men who helped shape magical collaboration in the early 20th century. Another point of interest is the record of correspondence from magicians across the country. More articles include on about Signor Blitz (including a photograph of his grave), and essay on the art of elevating magic, and an explanation of a living floating head.
