Taking a borrowed deck and performing true miracles is one of Dani DaOrtiz’s most powerful weapons. His card work is legendary, and now he is sharing some of his most closely guarded routines with you in The Borrowed Deck Project. A year-long course featuring incredible routines, concepts, theories, and philosophies that allow you to take any deck of cards presented to you and perform real magic. Chapter Five features an impossible discovery of a card from a shuffled deck and an incredible suit revelation.
Here’s what happens:
A deck is borrowed and shuffled, and a random card is removed by a spectator. That card is then lost in the deck.
The magician randomly divides the deck into three piles, two of which are face-down.
Another spectator takes one of the face-down piles and deals cards, removing cards until they only have one card left, which is discovered to be the selected card.
In an impossible kicker ending, the other packet of cards that was not chosen is revealed to be the entire suit of the selected card, which is in complete numerical order.
Australian Chaos is one of the quintessential Dani DaOrtiz effects. Complete chaos becomes a beautiful card revelation with a bonus ending that comes smack out of left field and catches everyone by surprise. You’re going to learn to disguise your actions and methods as complete chaos while getting way ahead of your audience. Believe it or not, this trick is incredibly easy, and much of it is practically self-working. There’s almost no sleight of hand required to produce this true miracle.
